Authors of the account decorhardcore advise not to be afraid to look for beauty in ugliness.
Designers Ksenia Shestakovskaia and Michael Garrett keep an account @decorhardcore, in which they spread strange, kitsch and simply unusual interiors and decor items found on eBay. In their collection, you can find anything: from photo wallpapers with birches and baroque halls to futuristic interiors of the 70s and famous art objects.
Shestakovskaia was born, she herself says, in the “aesthetic vacuum of the Soviet Union”, studied for an animation artist in Tel Aviv and now lives in Berlin. Garrett is from Wisconsin. Prior to the creation of decorhardcore, they were engaged in fashion design. According to Shestakovskaia, fashion industry “fed her to death.” Designers started the account in the fall of 2015. Over three years, more than 160,000 users subscribed to it.
With decorhardcore cooperate Gucci, Versace and the main furniture exhibition Salone del Mobile.
