Her family contributed 7.5 million US dollars.

Huawei Technologies’s chief financial officer and the eldest daughter of Huawei’s founder, Meng Wangzhou, were released from custody on bail, according to the Canadian publication The Star. This decision was made by the Supreme Court of Canadian province of British Columbia.

For Wangzhou, a deposit of 10 million Canadian dollars, or 7.5 million American, was deposited. This was done by the husband of Meng and her four former colleagues. She will be awaiting a court of extradition to the United States under house arrest at her home in Vancouver, estimated at $ 5.6 million. If Wangzhou violates the rules of house arrest, the bail will not be returned to the guarantors.

Wangzhou was arrested on December 1 at the request of the US authorities. She was suspected of organizing deals with Iran, thus bypassing the US trade sanctions. From the date of arrest, the United States has 60 days to provide evidence in its favor. The next meeting will be held on February 6, 2019.
